SEWING MACHINE GUY OF NC

The sewing machine guy of nc welcomes you!

Welcome to the shop. We are a local to the Triangle repair shop that makes trips to you as needed. Just about every sewing machine that relies on mechanics to function is fair game, but we will give any machine a look over and a quote to tell you if we can work on it.

We can't work miracles, but we can raise machines from the dead if needed!

Please Note: Due to the pandemic , I will be severely reducing hours and will be temporarily closed until I can reopen at a reasonable capacity.
Thank you for your concerns.

NOTE - COVID-19 Update Regarding Services.

Hello, everyone! With the current COVID-19 pandemic, we will have limited hours. If you are deemed an "essential" service, we will see about scheduling a site call for emergencies. If you have a home machine or two and are looking for help servicing a machine that will be using to sew parts for "essential" services, we can schedule an appointment.

Due to health concerns, we will be delaying other non-emergency service calls for non-essential businesses until such as a time as our health will not be in jeopardy. Please check out our recent blog post for more details.

NOTE - All site visits will have a $75 pandemic service fee.

Update 4/20/22 : With the high temperatures and the still increasing COVID-19 cases, all site visits and shop visits are BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. We are no longer taking drop offs until a backlog of machines has had some space freed. Until then, any in-shop work will be done in 1-2 hour appointment slots as available.

With an increase in multi-machine shops requesting service calls, I will be out of town significantly more often and will have very limited in-shop hours per month. Thank you for your understanding.

go-to place for sewing machine shops

Installations, repairs, setup, logistics, we can do them all. If you're just starting a shop in NC, we can get you a layout that will do wonders. If you've had a shop forever and some of your machines need work, we can fix them back to top-shape. If your shop has been running great for years, but the machines need a once-over to make sure they continue to do so, we can take care of it.

Check out our Hardware and Maintenance page for details of what we can handle quickly and easily. For anything else, drop us a line.
Patternmaking
Older model straight stitch, but still a workhorse.

As a general rule, we tend to help people who can help themselves as much as we can. In order to save our customers money, we will often offer the option for sourcing parts for their machines rather than upcharge them prices through us. We also offer a Care and Feeding of Sewing Machines to customers who would like to know more about their machines, and how to make small adjustments themselves. Feel free to reach out for more details.

Non-working form information

It was recently brought to my attention that the form on this page has not been working for quite some time, and I apologize for that. Please email me at nash@sewingmachineguync.com instead. If you contact me and have previously written on the form, I will give a $10/10% discount off that service, whichever is greater.
