The Care and feeding of sewing machines
Currently we only have one real class, and it's on an as-needed basis for now. The Care and Feeding of Sewing Machines is a how-to guide to use a machine properly and learn the signs that something may be off. Adjusting tension, checking the needle, how and when to oil older machines, odd noises, possible electrical issues, etc. Nothing too fancy, and all stuff that can be looked at relatively easily. It is the "know when to call your mechanic and when you can adjust it yourself" class.
I am a firm believer that everyone can learn a little about machines, just like almost everyone knows a few words in another language. Machinery has a tendency to "speak," but it's more listening for when it "says" something different than what it usually does.
Shoot a message through the form below if you're interested in this class. It can be for individuals as part of a repair call, or scheduled for small groups if several people are interested at once.

Every now and then you'll see us post something up on Instructables. Usually little how-to videos, but sometimes they can be in-depth.
Often a lot of people ask how to do many of the trades/tasks/jobs that I have figured out how to do over the years, and I figured that some of them would best be done by making instructional videos. Sometimes they might show up in the blog! Check it out! Haus Page Instructables |
It was recently brought to my attention that the registration form has been down for quite some time. Instead, please email me at nash@sewingmachineguync.com. Thank you.
